Janesz Slovljsak become a new U22 Ice Climbing World Champion!

We know that we are posting about Janez almost every day. But what else can we do? His results are just amazing and he is writing an new Slovenian Ice Climbing history.

After his third finals (second in a row) and best result (6th) place in Ice Climbing World Cupe 2014 Janez become a new UIAA Youth Ice Climbing World Champion. He was third in year 2013.In qualifications, semi-finals and finals Janez manage to climb to the top of the route.

We have to mention Janez Svoljsak and his first finals. He was 8th at the and. Congratulations Janez and we all hope that we are going to see you climbing in finals next season. Janez is 19 years old and he is competing in Ice Climbing World Cup for second year. He was also 3rd in World Youth Championship. Janez Svoljšak of Slovenia who is only 19 years old and showing great promise as a competitor qualified for his first final which is commendable in a field of such strong candidates.

After defending champion Will Gadd floated the route at the U.I.A.A. North American Championships, held in Bozeman, Montana, on December 14, it seemed the night was over. Then 20-year-old Slovenian Janez Svoljsak strolled it with two minutes to spare.
